Getting confirmed usually occurs when someone over the age of ten wants to take on the decisions about faith, made at Baptism, for themselves. The person concerned may or may not have been baptised as a baby. At a Confirmation Service, the Bishop takes the service and confirms those seeking confirmation. We have an annual Service of Confirmation in this Benefice. After confirmation, a person is seen to be an adult member of the church and responsible for nurturing the development of their own life of faith.
