Liz Baigent is organising a decorating-the-church-for-Christmas party TODAY after the morning service and it will be followed by lunch in church. Please do help if you can.
A few remaining St Margaret’s Christmas cards are on sale at the back of the church priced at £5 for ten.
Salvation Army Toy Collection. On behalf of everyone, Sam Schad would like to thank to Rachel Reeves and all the SAMS, SAMMYS and toddler families who donated five bags of new toys. They were delivered to the Salvation Army collection point in Templars Square on 10th December and will be distributed with food parcels in the next two weeks. All the families are identified and the ages of the children known so that suitable gifts can be selected.
Sacristans for 10:30 Services. Are you able to join the team in getting the Church ready for Sunday worship? If so, please see Andrew or Tom for more information. We now have one new volunteer and ideally we would like one more.
Baptism and bring and share lunch on 13th January Ottilie (Kate Kemp’s daughter and the youngest member of the choir) is being baptised in the service on the 13th January. She’s really hoping that as many people as possible are able to join her and her friends and family for a bring and share lunch to celebrate Tillie becoming part of the St Margaret’s family. Please email Michele and Kate (firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com) to let them know what you can bring – bottle, sweet or savoury.
The Archway Foundation (Registered Charity, Founded on Christian Values, Serving Those Hurt By Loneliness) is keen to recruit two new trustees. One to take a lead role in developing its Digital Strategy; the other with experience of working in Mental Health and an understanding of Safeguarding. For role descriptions and further information without obligation please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 07703186041.
The Thursday Afternoon Singers will have their last practice of term on 20th December and begin again in the New Year on 10th January.
Many thanks to all who have attended or done online the Diocese Safeguarding courses C0 and C1 this autumn. We are “ahead” and the trainer warmly praised our attendance and participation. Nearly 30 people have attended or done online these courses, along with another fifteen at least from St Giles and this is a really positive and encouraging step towards our aim of being a welcoming and safe community in our Benefice. If you could not attend one of the sessions and need, or wish, to do these courses online, please ask Michele (email@example.com).
Items for the notices to firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday, 12 noon please.
