Notices for Sunday, 1 April 2018
The annual revision of the Electoral Roll must be completed by 6 April (Friday in Easter Week). The Roll is a list of adult members of St Margaret’s. Minimum age is 16, but anyone who will become 16 by April 2019 is eligible. The current Electoral Roll (including changes since April 2017) is on display in the porch, and next to it are a good number of simple application forms for inclusion in the new Roll. Please check that your name (correctly spelled!) is on the list, let me know of any mistakes, and, if you are not on the Roll and would like to be, fill in a form and pass it to me or one of our clergy. It’s important that we have an accurate picture of our church membership, so please do join in! David Smith, Electoral Roll Officer.
SAMs is meeting on Saturday 7 April 10:00 till 11:30. The theme is Growth and new life. Do come along for arts, crafts, refreshments and conversation.
Priest and Pints is starting up again, meeting after St Giles’ Evensong on 8 April in the Royal Oak. Come along for a pint or two and some conversation with Tom. Will revert to the first Sunday of the month in May.
It would be wonderful to have a few more people to lead prayers and do readings at the 10:30 service at St Margaret’s and, in particular, to help serve coffee afterwards. Any frequency/degree of commitment is fine, even if you only want to join in a couple of times a year – every little helps! None of these duties are complicated but full instructions provided if required. Please contact Frances Bagnall-Oakeley: email@example.com. Thank you!

Would you be prepared to help with catering at St. Margaret’s social events? We are drawing together a network of volunteers – please see the notice on the board at the back of church and think about whether you would like to get involved. There are forms for volunteers or speak to Kathryn, Michèle or Samantha.
St Margaret’s will be holding its Annual Parochial Church Meeting (including the election of Church Wardens) on Sunday 22 April 2018 after the Parish Eucharist. This is a great opportunity for people to hear more about the work of St Margaret’s and for people on the electoral roll to be involved in the election of Church Wardens and new PCC members and Deanery Synod Representatives. If anyone is interested in joining the PCC, then please speak to Tom Albinson or Andrew Bunch. We are also looking for two new Deanery Synod Representatives. Similarly, if you are interested, please speak to Tom or Andrew.
