The weather was on our side a week last Saturday for our first ever community cafe. So much so that we decided to take the tables and chairs outside and enjoyed the shade of the trees in the church garden.
We served banana and apricot bread, strawberry yoghurt cake (one of Daniel’s childhood recipes) and the ever favourite chocolate cake.
Several of our St Margaret’s young people helped with washing up, taking orders and clearing the tables for over twenty of our friends and neighbours. We are looking forward to running our next Community Cafe on Saturday 10th September at 3pm to coincide with Ride and Stride and Oxford Open Doors. Hope to see you there then!
