Children & Families

We have returned to St Margaret’s Church for Sunday mornings at 10.30am and we look forward to seeing you in the building soon!

There’s lots going on for children, families and young people at St. Margaret’s Church and our community is growing all the time. Here are some of our regular activities here at St Margaret’s:

  • Little Fishes – Stay and play followed by a short, fun service for pre-schoolers. Expect songs, stories and fruit snacks!
  • Sammy’s (Saturdays at St Margaret’s) – A monthly musical workshop (with crafts) for families of primary school aged children
  • Games Night – Monthly board and video game fun for our young people that are 8-11 years old (key stage 2)
  • Film Night – Monthly film night for our young people that are 11-18 years old
  • Youth Pilgrimage – Four nights away in the summer walking the pilgrim ways.

Sunday School

Your family is also very welcome to join us for our in person services every Sunday at 10:30am. All children attending our Sunday service are invited to be part of our Junior Church (pre-school and primary) or Teens Discussion Group (11-18 year olds) during the service.

Our newly renovated “All Souls – Pray and Play” area in the north aisle is also open throughout the services:

Please don’t worry about making noise – children learn through play which is why our toys and books have biblical connections. Pew Bags are available if your child would like to stay in their chair. If you’re child does need some time out during the service (something we all need sometimes!), then please do come back in. You are welcome and so is your little one.

You might want to get a little taste of who we are before you visit, so you can always join our online service each week, via our YouTube channel.

If you would like to find out more about any of these activities or to find out more about children and families at St Margaret’s Church you can contact Eva Walters. Eva is our full-time Children’s Worker.

Our church community here at St Margaret’s strives to be an inclusive and welcoming Christian presence in the heart of North Oxford.
