Youth Pilgrimage

In 2023, we restarted the much loved Youth Pilgrimage. It’s a great opportunity to have fun and pray times together while we walk the pilgrim ways.

That year, we walked the footsteps of St Wilfred, ending in Winchester Cathedral. It was such a wonderful experience. You can read more about them here:

Then in 2024, circumstances dictated that we did a non-residential pilgrimage, walking the pilgrim ways along the Thames Path. Our destination was Dorchester Abbey, where we were warmly welcomed with afternoon tea and cakes.

It was still recognisably “pilg” in many ways as you can see on the photos here. We had lunch and evening meals together, outdoor worship and Eucharists, compline in churches on the way home and lots of silliness including the (non-lethal) Murder Mystery!

More recently, in summer 2025, we made our way (via public transport) to Pembrokeshire and walk the pilgrim way along the coastal path. The scenery was breathtaking especially from our youth hostal which was right on the cliff side. Our last day we walked from St Non’s Chapel to St David’s Cathedral for lunch and a tour. You can have a look at some of the photos from this year’s pilgrimage here.
