While we haven’t been able to visit school so far this year, Daniel and Eva having been supporting the teaching staff by sending in weekly assemblies, prayer reflections and Big Question videos. This has been a lovely way for all the children to still see the ministry team but we really wanted to safely welcome them back to St. Margaret’s Church for their Harvest Festival. So, using resources from Jumping Fish, St Margaret’s and Phil and Jim’s decided to work together to put on a socially distanced, covid-safe event for the children in church.
The children and teaching staff had a booklet to follow around five different areas of the church. They followed a one way system to each display and enjoyed talking about what they could see in front of them. It was a real exercise in using all our senses apart from touch! Each station had a theme, as shown in the photos below:
It’s been a brilliant two days of fun, exploring each display and going on a harvest journey. We’ve absolutely loved having the children and staff back into St Margaret’s Church and hope we can welcome them back again soon.
