Sparkly Church!

Yesterday, the lighting company took away all the bits and pieces out of the nave (they still have some external work to do next week). Today, the cleaners came in and blitzed the nave, chancel, lady chapel, porch, baptistery and kitchen from top to bottom.

As you can see from the photo above, it’s all sparkling and fresh with the chairs back in their pre-covid postions.

In the next few weeks, we will be asking your help with the cleaning party on the 20th November.

Every year, as part of our “Christ The King” liturgical year end celebrations, we spend the couple of hours cleaning up the church, with lunch provided in the middle.

Obviously a lot of our work has already been done this year, but we’ve still got some areas to concentrate on (like the silverware, wax on the marble floor and both vestries).

This event is always a lot of fun (and quite satisfying), so please do put the date in your diaries.
